ABOUT
Hot Salad was formed during a slim window in lockdown by seasoned session players and songwriters Matt Jones (keys/lead vocals/sax), Gordon Turner (guitar/backing vocals) and Jimmy Sims (bass/backing vocals). A shared love of music from 1978-82 - and remote writing sessions from separate corners of London - resulted in their debut record Six Months After The Zeitgeist (2022).
With the full-time addition of Dan Maiden-Wood (drums), and Sims being replaced by Matt Round, the band is currently in the studio recording their (as yet untitled) Debut Second Album, and taking their high energy performances on the road.

Engineered and co-produced by Dave Izumi at Echo Zoo Studios - a treasure trove of vintage instruments and recording equipment - Six Months After The Zeitgeist was recorded and mixed in just 12 days, and mastered by John Davis at Metropolis Studios.
